Daintree Rainforest
Python
photographed at Thylogale
by David & Diane Armbrust
Amethystine Python
Morelia amethistina

These next
two photos were taken a few days later. The python had moved out of the
rainforest and was lying on an old roadway getting as much sun as possible to
help digest his meal. Adequate warmth is vital for the digestive process,
without it he will die.
