Green Tree Frog
Litoria caerulea

The Green Tree Frog is Australia's
best known and loved frog. It is found in Queensland, Western Australia,
Northern Territory, South Australia and New South Wales. It
is commonly found in peoples homes (this is the frog you often see in toilet
bowls) water tanks, water troughs, windmills and downpipes (they use the
downpipe as an amplifier for their calls during rainy weather). This female is
visiting a male who has set up residence in this poly pipe and was using the
resonance of the pipe to broadcast his call.
