Noisy Pitta
Pitta versicolour

Called the Devil-Devil bird by Aboriginal people the Noisy Pitta is believed to steal their children by luring them into the rainforest with its jewel like plumage and piercing "walk to work" call.

Size
17-19 Centimetres.

Nest
Large dome of sticks at base of buttressed tree. The nest often has a "doormat" of animal dung.

Eggs 
Three whitish blotched.
