Satin Bowerbird (male)
Ptilinorhynchus violaceus
Blue is the colour of preference for the male
Satin Bowerbird. Like all of the Bowerbirds he builds a display bower for the
seduction of the female. He collects a variety of natural and man made ornaments
which he uses to decorate his bower. Photo of female.
